Has anyone herd of this brand?
I was picking up my beater car the other day and the guys at the shop were asking me if I've ever herd of Ardeca Motor Oil. They make a 10w60 that they say is approved by BMW. The sales guy for them is also saying Audi and Porsche are supposed to switch to Ardeca exclusively, due to a lot of issues with Mobil 1.

Here's the Technical Data Sheet: http://www.ardeca-lubricants.be/file...TS%2010W60.pdf.
It's characterized as a racing oil, yet says it is formulated for passenger cars. It has a relatively low TBN so not sure if it is suitable for BMW's extended drain intervals. Web site says recommended for BMW M cars but doesn't say anything about being BMW approved. There is a difference. I don't think BMW approves or even recommends any oil for the naturally-aspirated M cars other than TWS. I would take the salesman's hype with a grain of salt. First of all, Audi's lubricant partner is Castrol, not Mobil 1. Porsche is tied to Mobil 1 - - very strongly.
