If you want to ever meet amazing women look there! My x had to masters one i math and the other in marketing. Simply amazing women...shame the distance thing was too much...but i digress!

$1,800 for a freaking bag! WTF! To put that in perspective, add another $200 and you can obtain you’re A license for skydiving.
$1,800 is a ticket to Australia?
$1,800 is a vacation to Belize where you can stay for a week and learn how to scuba dive?

And yeah $20/$60….who cares! That’s my god profit margin for something that has really no intrinsic value and has a customer shelf life of what…6 months?
Hookers and blow may bring you more joy than one of those bags…but per speaking with my x regarding the subject she did make it sound like it was the hookers and blow for many women. Forgoing feeding their kids or going into massive debt just to have that next bag.

But amazingly my x, knowing where these things come from and their true worth…preferred $200 bags made by her friends who were artists. Like I said she was a very amazing woman.

Either way man good luck with whatever you are buying her. As for quality….really? Is it real quality or are you just justifying the cost?
Leather is leather is leather is leather…especially when it’s died and printed and stitched by machine?
haha... Chanel...and $200? Even tax amount for the least expensive purse wouldn't equate to that.
But luckily, you could get some stuff from LV with $200..such as a key chain.
Your $5 umbrella from the street would cost $300~400 in LV store.

Well so hand bag + key chain = 10 jumps!
Wow...nuts!
But then again a parachute system is about $6k and I guess I use it less than a woman using her hand bag?
But it does save my life? So are we now even?

Why are you equating everything to how many jumps you could get

There are plenty of people in this world that love luxury items. When you buy a luxury item like an LV bag you generally have that money to "waste". It shouldn't change the way you live. I bought myself a pair of shoes from LV which cost around $800 when could I have bought other loafers for $100. I will tell you one thing though, I couldn't be happier with that purchase. From the quality to the purchase experience everything is perfect and thats what you pay for.

Actually yeah...that's how I see things. 1 jump = $25 = 1 min of me

Yeah i guess if you have the money and it makes you happy why not right?

the loafers with the big LV in the front? Love those. My cousin had those. I just got a pair with Tod's. Much more subtle. But love both styles.

So...$20 hand bag that you will pay $200 for...which she will use for all of 6 months...

A set of fake tits? Or maybe a Liberator? Or......a nice sex toy! Now those are gifts that keep on giving! and giving and yes...giving!
Since when do LV handbags cost 200? More like minimum 1500. I saw one once for 8000. The sales girl told us its so expensive because there are so few, and Madonna owns one. About face and left store laughing.

I prefershopping for her at Victorias Secret

Yea, NM doesn't sell LV. In NJ, there is a nieman marcus which has a LV store inside it, but they are separate from nieman marcus. I am not sure why its even there because inside the actual mall there is a much larger LV store.

those who say 1800 is too much for a bag have to realize it's a different world.

like how about us who spend $ on our cars?

When I had my E93 M3, my brake pads cost me $1200 installed with tax etc.

The mods I put in my BMWs in the past 3.5 years are probably around $40,000. You tell this to any non-enthusiast and s/he will be like 'wtf?! You could've bought another nice car for that money!"

But as always, to each his own. You spend money on what you feel makes you happy.

LV doesn't do sales unfortunately. My ex-Japanese gf who was a hostess used to get LV/Dior/etc bags all the time (about 2-3 new ones per month). I couldn't compete, but then again I never needed to...

You're paying for her education, and if you feel she deserves the LV, get it. But don't over-spoil her now

2 questions. First, aren't you still in HS or college or something?

Second, how do you become an ex-Japanese?

HOLY FLAMING SHIT!
How did she afford that shit!

The only people who are more into brands than Middle Eastern women...Asians...OMG it's nuts!
I don't freaking get it!
I would rather see the world before it's gone than to spend money on a little bag. But that's just me.

+1 on don't over spoil. That sets a certain precedent and becomes expected.

On the bag pricing, my wife and I were in New York once at Yves Saint-Laurent and they had this alligator (or crocodile, whichever is still legal) bag that -- I had to ask -- had a $50k ... Yes that is $50,000 ... Price tag.

It was 30% off - That was the funny part!

It's insane how much this stuff costs.

People do buy quality luxory products. If you think it costs too much, move on and buy something else. LV is not cheap. Their starting price on lady hand bags are $1,000+, but for some reasons, I don't like their luggage set and man hand bags.
