Double door open

Why do I have to pull the door latch 2 times everytime I shut down and want to get out?

Otherwise, you'll have to climb out the windows. On a serious note, first pull unlocks the door and second pull opens the door. A safety feature from our German masters.

One pull is to unlock the door and another pull is to open it.

I turned off auto-lock feature since i hated pulling the door handle twice or using the unlock button on the dash.

I turn on the auto-lock ever since an old lady opened my passenger door and tried to get in my car while I was waiting at a stop light. Just my luck it couldn't be a hot chick. :/

I use auto lock....inspired by in my youth when late at night a crazy woman opened the passenger door and got in the passenger seat and threatened me with a knife to make me drive her into London, so off I drove. She was crazy enough to believe me when I told her there was a bus she could catch (at 3 in the morning!) that would take her to precisely where she wanted to go. I drove her to the bus stop and we both got out to check the timetable, while she was checking it I legged it back to the car to make a quick get away but the car wouldn't start!! Finally it started just as she was nearly back to my car and off I screeched, stopping only at the next phone box to ring the Police.

Thats one of two features of my BMW my wife absolutely loves and cant stand her G37x doesnt have it.

If I'm driving her POS and have to drop her off, she has to unlock the car with the small little nubby thing and then open the door, in my car she could just double pull and out she goes!

The other thing her POS G37x doesnt have is the REST function. "Its fuhking cold, does my car have that 'rest' function?", "Nope, sorry hunny, looks like I will have to stay in the car and keep it warm while you run errands"

i like the feature. It's worth the confused look on everyone's face when they try to get out of the car and it doesn't work after the first pull.
