Make sure you have plenty of US dollars saved up when you take delivery in Germany because the EURO is going to kill your dollars. Oh and the gas price will be murder they pay buy the liter over their so it will be like $10 a gallon for gas

But this should all just be a drop in the bucket for you since you can roll in a E93

hurry up and get your break in out the way when you are over there and you can open it up on the Autobahn enjoy your M3 Vert and the last bit of summer in Germany be safe

Make sure you post pics when you get back to the states most of us are show and tell type of people no pics will get you flamed

assuming this will be 09? i'm a bit confused because the factory should be shut down right until about that timeframe. if that is the case, you will almost certainly be the first 09 owner on this forum!

Damn, I was hoping to be the first one

... but in all seriousness, it is an odd date. I'd be a little concerned if it the first one as surely the tech will need a few days to remember exactly what to do as well as for their hangovers from the month long vacation to were off.

Lol. That's why I wasn't too upset when my dealer told me that their first E92 M3 allocation was a week 37 build (I believe BMW's first '09 build week is week 36). It gives them a week to get in the swing of things before building my car.

I think it will be the last of the '08s. Looks like the plant closing for 8/4-8/15 is part of normal vacation (not production change). I just hope that there are no hangovers with whomever has the final assembly for my ride.

Looks like your safe being the first '09.
