I'm sorry to hear that. You're lucky you have a sugamama. So I guess you're saying you didn't get it. I actually had mine ceramic coated and I just put it back on today.

I hope good luck finds your way. Best wishes.

Thanks! I'm not too worried. It's not like I'm going to be jobless for the rest of my life, something will come up. Going to think of it as a involuntary vacation.

You wouldn't happen to know how the Megan compares to the OEM Perforated pipes mod would you?

The Megan is more of a NASCAR/ muscle car sound. The oem mod I heard was more euro high pitched sounding.

Spend the money and get the Megan. After having stock, then Megan, then eisenmann race, back to Megan, then gintani hybrid and finally back to my Megan; I personally love the Megan the most. It's dam near perfect "all around" exhaust for 500 bucks.

You know with the test pipes in place it actually has a very nice high tech howl.

Woah, thank you for the link. Been looking for one on the usual places and that's by far the best price. Hard to go wrong with that.

Finally going to pull the trigger on it at the end of the month. I've been itching for TP's for a while, and this is my favorite setup without breaking the bank.

The Megan with the Sosi X-Pipe sounds fantastic. A killer combo and deal.

It does drone a tad in the 2200rpm range, but then most aftermarket exhausts do. Its not bad though, just there a little.

Its not as loud as some of the other exhausts out there but it is also not the quietest. As a previous post stated, its in the middle. If you do the test pipes I think you will find yourself quite pleased.

As far as the exhaust not being louder than the OEM exhaust...well that poster may want to get a hearing test.

Its the best $525 I ever spent for my car.

Dave
Thanks for the write-up! I've been looking at a used Eisenmann race but the MR sounds like a nice option for a lot less money.

I had the Dinan exhaust on my last M3 (eventually added the Dinan mid-pipe as well), and although I loved it most of the time, quite frankly it was a little too loud for around the town driving and my neighbors probably hated me. Plus, the total setup was over $6k and that's without the tune that goes with it.

My only concern is the drone you mentioned. I had a Jeep SRT8 with a Borla S exhaust at one point and it sounded very mean and befitting of the truck, but the drone gave me a headache. Have you guys experienced anything like that with the MR exhaust?

I'm considering just trying the exhaust first, but if I were to go with different pipes later what do you recommend?

As always, thanks for all the info!

So the drone wasn't so bad after all?

ILSMKU:
"I got the megan... its pretty darn loud with stock xpipe. Sounds real nice, but DRONES LIKE A MO FOO! I find myself avoiding 5th 6th and 7th alot now. Unless your on the GAS 24/7, the drone will get old REAL soon.... My city MPG went from 15.1 to 13.2 now because I don't like 6th or 7th at all because of the drone."

I don't remember posting that at all??? moo foo? Lol.

If I did, it must have had to break in or something because what little drone it has is nothing to rule it out.

I average 14.7mpg city 0-speed limit WOT everyday.
