Adding Nav to a e92 M3?

Have you guys seen a custom job on the front dash where the OEM nav usually sits?

PS: picking up my M this Wed!! Cant wait.

why would you want to change the nav thats already there??

if its a car that didn't come with nav and I'm sure u can find an in dash monitor to install....

The car doesn't have the OEM nav.

So, I want to know if anyone has seen an install above the AC vents, and not below (where they're usually installed).

It would be to far away from the driver to be a touch screen if it was where the oem screen is.

I do believe some companies make kits so you can put one in the dash though.

Edit;
You can get an updated climate control panel that includes the heated seats buttons.

That's why they make the iDrive controller plus you shouldnt be messing with the nav while driving anyway. I would never install those type of kit on an M3. but then again, to each his own.

OP, it'd cost quite a bit to retrofit the OEM Nav into your car. I looked into this a while ago and the cost wasn't worth it IMO.

He said he wants a "custom job" so I'm pretty sure he's not talking about a retro fit or oem.

THIS SITE Has OEM like Navigation/Multimedia systems that fit like the original. Has Navi, DVD, USB.SD Card, iPod Dock, some have 3G. Anyway check it out. Hope this helps.
