In NYS you are allowed to retain the salvage and the insurance company pays you the ACV (value) less the salvage price they are not gonna get from auction. It's your property right? Why wouldn't you be able to? Anyways PM me a price on the car I am real interested. Thanks. |

With the damage you are looking at around $15k to fix (maybe more... depends on who you know and what kind of work they do)
So, the car as it sits is probably worth $15k There are 2 salvage examples on eBay right now for $19k with much less damage then this |

At this moment i have the original clean title no lien but i was advised to get it branded salavaged by allstate, the person told me that it can retain clean if i didnt report it totaled. So basically it can retain clean as long as i dont report it dmv.

the title will be considered R when the next owner registers it... this is due to allstate claiming it as a total loss (which is why they paid you the difference in value minus the "salvage" value

Thank you for the input. This seems accurate to me. I know allstate will not report it totaled but they told me it will show value given in the car fax. Im assuming then the buyer would get an R title or it may stay clean. Im not sure.
