Brilliant White E90 Tint & 3M Film

Tinting is finally here and none too soon for the 110+ temps AZ has had lately. My crazy schedule has not allowed me to get this completed until now.

The tint and 3M film protection was installed by Protective Film Solutions in Scottsdale, AZ. They have several years of experience and a top notch installation facility, complete with lifts. I would highly recommend them for your tinting and 3M film.

3M Film

Hood
Front Bumper
Front Lip Spoiler
Front Side Fenders
Side Mirrors
Side Rocker Panels
Rear Bumper Behind Tires
Door Edges
Door Handle Cups

Window Tint

20% All Around
20% Visor Strip on Windshield
50% on Windshield (crystalline 3M)

Other mods are waiting and I will post those pics once they are installed.

I tried to catch the sunrise on the 4th of July, but the sun beat me to it. Enjoy the pics and let me know what you think.

I agree, but I do like the colour. Did they do your entire hood with the 3M film? Was the film large enough to cover the whole hood without stretching?

Lip Spoiler is Vorsteiner and Trunk Spoiler is BMW Performance

The full kit MSRP is $1000, which includes full hood, full fenders, full bumper and side mirrors.

The largest 3M film does not cover the entire hood. It stops just before the top, however the dome is covered and most of the hood that is vulnerable is now covered. My installer said that they stopped covering entire hoods because it was a different manufacture of film and it was yellowing. I'm happy with 90% of the hood being covered.

Looks great.. Did they do a custom bumper job? I had full custom film done on my AW hood, bumper, fenders and mirrors but it ended up yellowing.. after 4 months in the AZ heat... I took it back and got a full refund, but I had it done in a place in North Phoenix. If that 3M works out, let me know. BTW, I'm in North Mesa.

I have lived in AZ for more than 20 years and installed 3M film on my previous three M3's. I have never had an issue with 3M film turning yellow or discolored in any way. I will only use a vendor that uses 3M film. Additionally, the 3M film has improved their formula every year or two.

Yes, they did a custom bumper film as I have a lip spoiler installed. They also did a custom lip spoiler film to protect it.

BTW, my vendor fully guarantees their film and will replace or refund if it turns yellow or discolors. I can PM you their information if you would like. Please let me know if I can help you out in any other way.
