Fact. This school has Pentium 3's all over the place and dusty CRT monitors.
Windows XP is on its last leg.

Pepsi will donate 250k towards tech upgrades

Half the kids in my physics class had to photocopy textbooks because they dont have enough. Same goes for my stats book.

Besides, photocopying textbooks is hardly the benchmark in determining whether a school deserves $250k for computer labs. LOTS of people in colleges don't even buy the textbooks, doesn't mean the students/colleges deserve money from Pepsi.

Why don't you tell us WHY your school needs this money because I agree with the above poster that another school deserves this money more.

Wow my high school had a football/soccer field, 3 computer labs for 2000 students running pentium 2's, no pool, no tennis courts, 1 baseball diamond. Parking only for students who did not miss class more than 3 times per class the previous year....

Your school is definitely not a school that needs this money

shit, i went to a ghetto as high school, graduated 10 years ago, no a single person drove a nice car, think the nicest car was a 1998 neon. But our school computer lab had all new computers. Sounds like who ever runs the budget, did a piss poor job. Specially as cheap as computers are, specially Dells, who give discounts to schools

Try setting up fund raisers, if you really care that much

i went ot school in the ghetto, we didn't even have a parking lot. we had to drive around city streets and look for parking spaces. it would always make you late for class and in 2 years I got 3 smashed windows...

I've looked at the other leaders in this contest. Help babies with cystic fibrosis breathe easier, helping underprivileged children, fighting breast cancer, helping homeless families, helping special needs children, provide family packages and meals to those deployed overseas, brain tumor survival + several more worthy causes. And your school wants $250,000 to build 4 computer labs because your school board wasted the budget for the last 8 years improving your sports facilities.

Okay, screw breast cancer. Like that cause needs any more publicity or money. They have BC branded EVERYTHING and every sport wears pink and donates a ton every single year. I am sick of hearing about it personally (and I even have an aunt that had it!)
