Best tires for a SCd M3 E 92?

I have HRE P40s in 20inch
9J fronts and 10,5J rears

Currently have conti sport contact 3s, 255/30/20 and 295/25/20
The car just spins all the time.

I raced a stock E92 and from 1-3 gear, I was next to spinning wildly. Pulled him hard after that.

On the dyno, wheels spin as well

OJ loves the back squirrelling around, even more than Suzie, buts it's just not cool for street cred when trying to mash 997TT!

What's the most grippy tyre and what size?

Should have gotten a GT-R or RS4 :-). I kid.

Many people I know swear by Advan Neova AD08. They are somewhat track-oriented, but street-legal and grip better than almost anything you can legally use on streets, while still being good in the wet (but I have yet to try them, so my opinion is hearsay). Can't get them in your size, I believe, but a good option if downgrading to 19" in not out of the question.

Like the look of the 20s to much!
Maybe I will try 305/25/20 PS2s, s
Seems like a soft compound tyre, should be fine for extra grip on the road?

I think CSC3 is not sticky enough.

I would use R888 if you have a lot of power.

but RE-11 or AD08

Mickey Thompson or if u want practical size, BFG DRs.
R888's and like tires does not focus on straight line grip, but rather cornering grip/stability.
Lets face it, you modded the M3 more for straight line, than ultimate cornering speed, with that kind of power, you seriously want some MTs or BFG DRs.

If you want street tires, I would use AD08s, RE-11s or NT05s.
I think the NT05s will have the most dry grip of the three.

Since you have a 20" rim, you choices are going to be limited though.

Lose the dubs. Try sticky 18 inch tires. Honestly though with a ssupercharger you can light up anything. Right foot control is more important.

agreed the problem started with going to 20's. if you are after the most performance which by getting a SC i am assuming you are, why go with a heavier 20 inch wheel. i would of got a 19 at the most and went wider up front

if you love the look of the 20's then buy a 2nd set of 18's with racing tires on them just for the drag racing you will do. then keep the 20's for bling and when riding around normal if that is possible in a SC'd M3 lol.

something like these

im running stock 18"s PS2, dont have a SCD and they still spin in 1st and 2nd g most of the times, So dont think the wheel size really is the fact there. Just get the right set of tires.

I could only think of the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup in 20's. They come in :
245/35ZR20 and 315/25ZR20. Prefer the Pirelli Corsa to the Michelin but those don't come in 20's. If you're willing to go back to 19's I'm sure that the new Trofeos will make a difference.

So because of the instability, we were afraid to push the car beyond 150 MPH. After switching tires to factory (stock) PS2's, the instability went away, and we hit 186 MPH.

Now, I have R888's for competition. I haven't had much chance to push the car with these tires. The only time I tried, the car seemed very stable.

Drew has RE11's and likes them very much. I don't think he has any problems at all.

I think a couple of the other ESS guys (biglare, and possibly Roman) have AD08's and like them very much as well.

I don't think you can get NT05's in the right sizes. I checked for my competitions (was checking 18" and 19") and seem to recall nothing that would work.
You may have been looking @ the NT-05Rs and not the reg NT-05s which have quite a bit of selection.

Just ordered a set of PS2's for 20" wheels ....

But the ideal setup is 18's or 19's with michillen cup tires
