Tire size advice for 19s
I recently received a set of Volk TE37s with the following specs:
19 x 9.5 +22 19 x 10.5 +22 The TPMS just arrived and I need to get some tires on them. I have some 305/30-19s sitting in my garage which I hope to use. I didn't buy them for the purposes of the new wheels, but they are just sitting unused and I may as well give them a try. It seems like I will need to adjust the camber to avoid any potential rubbing on the fenders. What would be the appropriate tire size for the fronts? 275/30-19? Any help is greatly appreciated. |

I think you should be running 265/30 front and 285/30 for the rears. Max you your camber front and rear.
I don't think 305/30 will fit.

It all depends on what you plan on doing with your suspension. You told me you were not going to lower it but in the end I think you will so you will have to consider that. The 305/30-19 is one tall tire and it is a good .5in taller than the stock 265/30-19 size. My friend is running 275/30-19's and BBS CH 19x9.5 ET20 after spacers in the front on his e90 M3 with H&R springs and there was slight rubbing in the lining when he turned. In the rear he is running 295/30-19 and BBS CH 19x10 ET20 and I dont think you could fit a wider tire on there without rubbing. Take a look. http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=328041

305/30/19 is just about perfect diameter. Closest you'll get if going to a fatter tire. Even if you're not lowered, the rear wheel offset is really aggressive. Get a tire with a more rounded sidewall or you may hit the fender.

You'll rub like crazy... Go 265/30 front and 295/30 rear on the G2's and call it a day. That will give you a nice aggressive fitment with no rubbing issues. (guaranteed) 275/30 and 305/30 tire sizes are overkill for this car...

Any updated info on this combo? I have wheels with the same specs and plan to use 275/30-19 and 295/30-19 lowered with some negative camber. Rub or no rub? |
