Need advice, aib's or lux H8 v3?
Im on the market for a pair of angel eyes and i have narrowed it down to either AiB's or the lux H8 v3. Whats the main difference between them? I dont want them to be to bright in nightime because that looks cheap....
Will the AiB's still be visual in daylight? in nightime they look awesome! They seem to be the only ones that has an even lightdistribution in both the inner and other ring... But what about the LUX V3's? Even lightdistribution? They flicker when starting the car, do i have to code them? Are they to bright in the evening? They look nice BUT i dont want them to bright when its dark outside...anyone have evening pics of them? Money is not an issue here, just want whats best looking both day and nightime.... Would love the hear from both sides on this one Prons? cons? Thanks!

We've done plenty of AngeliBright installations and our customers have been very happy with them. We also have them on our project e92 M3 and it's been flawless for us |

it's going to be hard to capture the "real" brightness of any AE set-up. I have a set of Lux V3's in the mail right now. I'm coming from GP thunders...I've seen AiB's in real life as well...hopefully you can do the same....good luck with your decision...

The pic of the AiB's posted by david@eas is in the shade, so you're not getting a true idea of what it actually looks like in direct sunlight. I have the LUX kit and it's awesome! Looks great during the day, amazing in the night. Let me see if I have a pic laying around...

I've now had both the Lux and AiB kit..granted they are different colour(amber lux vs. white aib)
They both will not hold a candle to OEM, so there's no comparison there. Personally, I've had pretty bad luck with AiB driver back..on my second one after the revision. I'm currently running my Lux which also seems to be a quality kit. Marc was great help to get me one of the markets first amber AE. Brightness and equal-ness of distribution, I would say there's a negligible difference

In for comparison pics. This is what I have it narrowed down to as well.

Why does EAS keep doing this with their photos? Neither is in direct sunlight, the front of the car is in a shadow.... It's clearly obvious the sun is not facing the front of the car. I have AiB's and when the sun faces the front or is anywhere in front of the car the AiB's are almost invisible. You have great product, you don't need to post misleading photos to sell a set. It's not a great way to keep up your image.

Well, because the output of amber LED is less than white LED that factors into the difference. But since amber stands out a lot, they look about the same. I haven't had experience with the white Lux. What I was stating is that they both had the same equal distribution of light. And both in direct sunlight does not show 2 full circles like the OEM ones, or the pictures posted in this thread.

I've gone through 3 sets of AiBs. Now I'm switching to Lux.
I don't think I have to explain what I think about the AiBs. Also, the AiBs are nearly invisible in direct sunlight. The EAS pics are intentionally meant to be deceptive since the front of the car is still shaded.

To the OP, the flickering is a normal condition for any LED based lamp. It is caused by the pulse on the light circuit which is sent by the car to test the system. If your light switch is set to auto, you will see the flicker. If its set to off, you won't see it. You don't see it with the OEM lamps because halogen lamps are not as sensitive to slight changes in voltage and the pulse doesn't trigger a flickering effect for that particular lamp source.
