Supercharger maintenance
Hi all
Proud new owner of vf engineering supercharged m3. amazing car. however, can anyone point me to a supercharger maintenance thread. Just wondering when to do fluid and what other ongoing maintenance is required or ideal. I tried a search but could not find an ideal thread. Thanks rjh |

Supercharger oil should be changed roughly every ~7500 miles. I can't think of anything else. |

might be a little generic since it applies to all their kits, but here's their official recommendations on their webpage: http://vf-engineering.com/wp-content...anty071412.pdf

And don't WOT or rev over ~ 6500 for the first 200 miles or so for break-in.

The tag that came with the supercharger said 2500 miles from the manufacturer, either way when I changed mine it looked brand new. Looks aren't everything though.

Yea I'm sure it's all more or less the same. Treat it like you treat your car and it will be all good!

What interval is your engine oil change??? FI Plugs all depend on how the car is driven, I do mine every 20 000km (which is every 4th oil change for me).

Bought my oil change kit straight from Vortex. The change requires a little more than 3/4 of a bottle.

OEM spark plugs are used.
Vortech has a recommended synthetic oil, we also keep these in stock if needed.

Please use only the Vortech specified supercharger oil during each 7500mi S/C oil change interval. http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/page.php?id=30162 ^EAS and other distributors should be able to supply the oil as well. Engine oil is the same, BMW recommended Castrol 10w60. |
