These cars are loud.

I've always had loud cars. 3 in full catless WRX, turndown after the cats in a Z28 camaro, 3 in full catless RB20 240sx.

Nothing has been quite like this...

Custom rear pipes is my only mod. Cold start with the windows down in the newest parking spot to be added to my apartment's garage (which I am claiming as the beast's cave )

Oh and I daily the car 80 miles/day.

Yeah that usually happens when you completely remove the mufflers off any car. I just don't see the point on these cars since it doesn't add any power. I think the exhaust mod is a better cheap option.

why would you want such a loud exhaust on an otherwise stock car?

Because the parking garage revs are intoxicating. I cant justify the money for major mods (including a quality exhaust) while I still owe money on the car. This makes spirited driving so much more enjoyable. But I understand how you feel.

This is stupid loud. Sorry, but I hate when a car like this rips down my street. I have the oem mod and that's the loudest I dare go. I just can't respect the folks who go muffler less or run race systems on the street.

Except for the hemholtz chambers, this is exactly what the oem mod is. Minus 50 lbs of dead weight...

The only OEM mod version that still utilizes the helmholtz chambers AND absorbption chambers is the removal of just the 2 large perforated pipes

This is the most refined sound for the OEM mod..ofcourse it wont be as loud as other methods, but it also wont drone and rasp.

, but this has been discussed at length and you're wrong. While the mod retains the Heimholtz pipes they are essentially useless as the volume amplified by the mod would require a longer pipe to combat drone. So straight pipes are identical to the ACM mod. I have had a set of stright pipes and they really are just loud, really don't drone and do sound sick, but a good set of mufflers always prevails IMO.

But the vid is also skewed as it's in a garage.

Only the OEM mod two perforated pipe method (refer to diagram above)retains the absorption and helmholtz chamber

to what degrees? Ofcourse there is going to be less dampening of sound..thats the point..its a nice happy balance still utlizing the design of the OEM cannister..
To Yolkster......... 100% agreed !
Cost me 15 USD and one day of work, and the sound is just perfect !
0 drone !!!
