MRF 4.2 e92 6speed

In good company with a couple porsche GT cars at Thermal. Did a third gear pull vs my 991 GT3 PDK and the GT3 barely inched even tho the M3 had to manually shift. My GT3 vbox'd a 126 1/4 mile trap so this has to be one of the quickest NA e92s on earth.

Saw that one coming! I hope he does, it would be great to get your impressions on it vs your ESS625 car.

I'm interested to know whether it's a 4.2L build with 292 cams

That should have tons of potential

Hey everyone!

The MRF 4.2 (coded F65B42) engine is readily available to anyone that is interested and are built to order. In its current form, it is currently making approximately 450RWHP on 91 octane fuel. With a couple minor revisions I am anticipating to break the 600bhp mark with this engine in NA form this year on the stock DME.

For context purposes, currently, the E92 M3 is weighing in at 3221 lbs with full tank of fuel and fluids and no driver. Strategic weight loss in key areas to lower the cars weight without sacrificing what makes it a road car, so it can comfortably drive to and from the track and be used daily or on the weekends.

Hi Malek, do you sell the 4.2 as a kit? I'm all the way in Malaysia and our import/export laws make it very difficult for me to ship the engine out to you. We need import permit for every engine.

600bhp out of a NA 4.2...on E85? Still that's 142bhp/l.

Regarding the latter half of your post:

Ummmmmm.....that pretty much describes the perfect car (low weight e92 m3 retaining drivability and making 450 rwhp [i dont need 600 rwhp lmao])

I think I speak for all of us when I say this car needs it’s own full build thread. Very curious to see how he got the weight down to that number while keeping the car fully streetable.

We started in third to get a long gear pull and the 3-4 gear change isn't that bad for the 6speed. The DCT has better gearing with 7 speeds instead of 6...but I'm fairly certain it wouldn't have changed the outcome.

On the same stretch of road my GT3 did a 126 1/4 mile trap speed my e92 DCT when stock did 113 so this particular M3 is making way more power than stock.

Malek's facebook says the rev limit is 8950. I assume you chose to stick with just a bore rather than a stroker to rev the car higher? Or just because you didn't think the juice of a crank was worth the squeeze if you build for revs with the right cam?

I didn't realize you were up to this. Glad to hear somebody domestic is making these work NA on the stock ECU. I assume this is catless?

The weight is totally doable on a manual coupe.

its why he has a cult following down here. anyone who has been to his shop and sees his car and what he has achieved is simply left in awe.
really nice guy and down to earth- easy to talk to. its a real treat to talk about this car with him. he has done some other really cool things for the car as well.

My car with a full tank of gas and zero options from the factory weighed in at 3,524 lbs. Would love to know how I can pull out another 300 lbs.
