Before and After Shot

Looking for some feedback on the pic below. I started playing with the raw format and photoshop touchup. Is it ok or is it too much?

Thanks

This may sound dumb, but is it an HDR?

Hmm. It has that quality to it. Well, it's a great shot. The clone stamping and shading was done well, but the wheels in particular or either misfocused or blurry a bit. What is your metadata?

First time looking for metadata. I think I found the right stuff.

-Canon EOS Digital Rebel
-Canon 10-22mm
-16mm
-ISO 100
-F 4.5
-1/5 shutter
-It was shot around sunset with the sun below the tree line to avoid long shadows so the lighting was a little darker than the picture makes it appear.

I tried looking through the data but all it says is I used the As Shot setting in the RAW editor. My guess is it was set at either daylight or cloudy. In the original photo data it says WhiteBalance1, if the 1 is an indication of a particular WB setting.

I tried playing with the WB in the RAW editor but all the rest of the settings just made the gray of the car turn funky shades of gray.

I think the processed one looks quite a bit better than the original. Nice.

Good job - I use a filter called Alien Skin Image Doctor smart fill to remove distractions like that - easier than clone stamp.

Looks good mate considering what an average photo it was to begin with. The clarity of the first shot isn't that great probably due to the shutter speed and also the appature. I personally would have gone with f7ish and a shutter speed of either 1/6 or 1/8 if you dont have a tripod. If the light does not permit try bumping the iso up to 200, you shouldn't get any noticable noise at that iso.

^ +1

The second pic adds a little more light, and makes it look more lively.

Thanks for the feedback. Here are two more from the same shoot. I was a little more ambitious with the clone stamping but you can probably tell if you know to look for it.

-Canon EOS Digital Rebel
-Canon 10-22mm
-22mm
-ISO 100
-F 4.5
-1/8 shutter

Definitely an improvement. Seems to be little too much pink in the 2nd picture, but i guess thats the lighting from the sunset

It was the first time using with the raw format instead of jpeg so I was really just experimenting with all the things that can be done to the raw format. Mainly it boosting the exposure to lighten it and the clarity to sharpen it up. Cleaning up the rest was just a challenge to see how much could be removed and not make it too noticeable.

I was trying to preserve a little of the pink in the sky since it was there but it did leave the car with a slight pink hue as well.
