I was ebullient about taking this test and looking forward to gasconading about my high score. I took this stupid test with a penultimate result. I must be saxicolous since I didn’t know very many of the test vocabulary. Guess I’m not sesquipedalian.

Although penultimate would be second to highest possible score - that would be worth bragging about!

This test reminds me of people who think that using big words constantly makes them a good writer, or at least an intelligent-sounding one. To me, someone who can explain a concept in a simple, clear way appears much more intelligent than someone who sounds like they're addicted to their thesaurus. Of course, some people use those words normally, but it's usually obvious whether or not it's natural.
