Anyone here shop at Whole Foods?

Last time I went there, I browsed the produce section and they were selling 50 dollars a pound organic cherries. I don't shop there because the prices are way too high.

they have great stuff if you are into organic foods. You have to stay away from the stuff that you absolutely know is a rip off if you want to exit the store without emptying your wallet.
For me the deli lunch meats are much better than what you would get in a regular super market. Also, the pre-marinated meats for grilling are modestly priced. Oh yeah, the chips and salsa isle is pretty damn good too.

lol i personally think whole foods is a waste of money. But my mom buys every single little thing from whole foods, even organic paper towels. Its quite ridiculous, but she gotta do what she's gotta do. haha

when I used to work in NYC the people that worked there said I could help myself to anything there(prepared foods) when I asked if there was a place to sit and eat... I didn't have to pay.

$50/lb!!!!!!!

I shop at Central Market sometimes, especially when I want to pick up some fresh fish. I've bought fruit there, but never seen prices anywhere close to that.

Used to shop there and liked it for hard to find items / ingredients.

I bought the stock and lost 300 bucks on it

So I had to kick it to the curb

I remember the sushi being meh. Whole foods isn't bad to grab something to eat there. They have sandwiches and other prepared foods. To buy steaks and fish there I'll pass.

Are you sure your not reading "$5.00 per pound"? Unless those were popped cherries I have a hard time believing that price.

They sell really good pizzas at the counter. They are thin crust style and it reminds me of the traditional pizzas.

Whole Foods is great, expensive if you go the hole organic route.

I enjoy going for select items, but still shop at a traditional supermarket for the everyday stuff.

Also love trader joes and Fairway

50 dollars Canadian a few years back, so it would translate into like 35 dollars American. I don't think a lot of people bought the cherries. The stack of cherries was like a huge mountain.

I'm thinking the same thing. Although anything's possible these days.

I wouldn't spend $50 on cherries unless it was guaranteed sex in your mouth.
