I need help! Installing Sonic paddle Shifters

Im in the middle of installing SonicMS paddle shifters, and Im having a hard time removing the gray wire connected to the OEM shifters. Can anyone help? Sonic is apparently closed. No answer.

do you have the paddle assembly off the wheel or are you trying to get them unhooked? you need to use a small precision flat head screw driver to get the tab unhooked. The tab should be on the side facing the the rear of the car.

What's wrong with the OEM shifters? I mean why on earth would you change them?

I was trying to get them unhooked from the wheel. I ended up skipping that step though.. and just changed the paddle while connected to the wheel.. It wasnt that bad.

Because Racecar. jk

Because Sonic's look better, but more importantly, are larger so they are easier to grab when you dont have your hands at 10 / 2. I dont always drive around town with both hands on the wheel. I like cheeseburgers.

I had the same problem... hard to remove grey wires. I opted to leave it attached and work on it in place.
