If you can't operate a stick, you can't get to experience what is a phenomenal vehicle. Now, they are introducing PDK, so that even your average suburban soccer mom can spin around in one.

I'm exaggerating quite a bit, but you get my point, or so I hope.
Guys I am a manual guy to. But listen to Andreas describe the new PDK in the GT3. They went back and forth several times with the test cars. The decision was not solely made because it is faster.

They targeted a race sequential box rather than a street dual clutch. He says it is more involving. You can fully disengage the clutch, he calls it "donut mode".

For him to claim it is a more "raw" driving experience than the 997 GT3 RS 4.0 is a bold statement.

Exactly my point. I don't care if it's slower, I want to be fully engaged in the operation of my car.

So awesome! I want one of these so badly. And I would be more than happy to have this in the PDK version! Sounds like it might be more fun than my Dct!

Since my E30 is still dead, I've been daily driving my 240SX convertible with a cage, Recaro, and 4 point Schroth FIA harness with cam-lock. It's totally obvious since the top is always down and always visible and I've never had a problem. Even when I was pulled over for drifting a turn, the officer never brought it up. Only after he handed me the ticket I asked him about it and he said there wasn't a problem. I can get into the safety pros/cons and how to do a cage right but that's a different topic.

For me if my left leg isn't doing anything, I don't want it. I've driven a 400whp FC RX7 drift car with a NASCAR dog box and it was very raw and fun and sounded insane with its whine but it was still missing that third pedal and I couldn't get over that.

Although it is his a opinion and he even states in the video people will think he is spewing marketing. But he gives an excellent case when he says it is more engaging than the previous GT3. Not sure if you watch the entire video, but it is worth the 18 minutes.

do want.

I think its cool how they simulated clutch through the paddles. According to the interview if you press both paddles it causes the car to drift simulating pressing the clutch down or something of that nature.

Looks beautiful, Rear steer and no 6MT kinda kill it for me, but that's cause i like breaking the rear loose as opposed to running hot laps.

everything about this car is mindblowingly awesome, although I liked the 997.2's front fascia more... it just looks less tuner-ish

i'd kill to wring this engine up to its redline

I am going to believe Andreas in the video. He doesn't sound like he is blowing smoke. But I will wait for a proper non-biased review from Chris Harris. Although he loves Porsche, he will give a honest review.

Looks like breaking the rear lose is not going to be a problem with this version of PDK. Sounds like a trick setup.

He's saying it's simulating a "clutch kick." You do that by (assuming you have a MT and an LSD or welded diff) being in the mid range revs and while turning in the direction you want to slide, stab the clutch with your left foot. The revs will spike and you'll break traction, kicking the back end out. I am interested in that part, as it could be the car's saving grace for me.

So, they offer manual for their a-lot-less-enthusiast-dream-car Turbo but not in the GT3? What a shame. I really like the DCT in my Ferrari, but it just can't match the feeling of clutch+stick combo.

Porsche, color me disappointed.

It looks damn good in white. Now awaiting the RS with a bigger, metal wing and hopefully a clutch pedal.

I could care less about a 6MT anymore. They have done an amazing job with this car. I am curious to see about the reviews of the ride. If it could actually be daily driven.

I would never use this car as a daily driver. It would sit in my garage and be driven in a nice and dry weater only, and it would see a few track days a year of course.
