Second time around isn't any easier
I recently lost my mind and traded an 08 e92 JB in on an 11 e92 AW CP with CF roof.
I didn't think the second six to eight week wait was going to be as big of a deal as the first. I under estimated that trick. Man I MISS driving that car. Freakin' 4Runner just doesn't quite stick like what I'm used to driving. It's a week 38 build. Can't wait until she boards a boat. Kinda cool to track it coming across the water... Great forum. I've been hanging around since May of 08 and finally decided to join the club. Now all I have to do is get the correct amount of posts in so I can get rid of this header at the top of my page that says, "Hi, it seems you are new here. You will have to make some posts before you can use our PM system." What the heck is that? I got peoples to PM who have what I need to mod this mule... Nuge |

Yes, that and I favor the current i-Drive/Nav over the 08. The combox sounds like that's gonna be kinda cool. 1.9% financing was nice. Not one problem from the 08. Great car. I'm a just a sucker for a new car. I keep saying this is the last one, but you know how it goes...

3 weeks is nothing. I've gone almost 2 months now since I sold my car. I have to endure the wait for about another month.

Anup, Not the first time I've been told that. Maybe the same goes for you?
I tried to respond to radiantm3 a couple of time and my iPhone wigged out, so If this post appears a couple of times, I apologize in advance... True on the three weeks being nothing — especially since I know what's coming and I'm guessing you've only been able to dream about it. The other interruptus you get to endure is the recommended 1,200 miles of playing nice. You've got it right there in yer hands and you can't do a whole lot with it... you know? If you got the 6MT, I will say be patient with the 1-2 shift. I've never seen a new car break-in/relax whatever like my 08 e92 did. It may be the fact that I got used to it, but I really think that shift point loosened up over time. If fact, I think the whole car kinda settles in after some miles are put on da clock. Either you or the car gets better with time. Prolly a combo. Enjoy that first drive — and FWIW, just know it'll be kinda hard to wipe the grin off your face... Nuge |

lol this is exactly why when I purchased my M3 I called my dealer, located the exact car I wanted in the US and was driving it two days later. when I had to wait for my 335i for what seemed like two years, i couldn't handle that twice in a row lol......
as you can see from my sig, i never quite got over how long it took to get that 335.....having the M3 quicker was nice....but I agree its very rewarding to wait and finally get it!
