There is no street plate for street springs for E9X M3 yet. When available, these can be used.

What is the rebuild interval on these? I know a lot of the high end shocks need to be maintained to keep their high end performance. Does being a twin-tube reduce the need for maintenance over the mono-tube Motons?

Twin-tube means they are easier to rebuild.

A little misconception here. We replace fluid twice a year and rebuild yearly for our race stuff - but that is because a part operating at less than 100% in a program where the labor/cost to prevent is miniscule doesn't make sense.

Typically a stock shock will last about 100k miles on average - until the car is bouncing with minimal control. That is not the window of performance that even the standard user of a quality shock finds acceptable. That being said, the higher the quality, the longer the life, and the Moton stuff is very nice inside and should have a good lifespan.

What if I want to customize spring rates? I'm guessing that the front spring perches are a "standard" size and that I would be able to change to other springs as long as I added the appropriate racing camber plate.

I have talked with Moton about the marketing on these a bit. Moton makes a very high-end product, but due to this they don't sell a lot of their products - there are only so many professional level race teams and the trickle down to the club market and even the street market isn't huge.

It is an awesome product and while my review is glowing, thats the facts - I think it is an incredible kit and I did the back to back test that I expect few people will have the capability to do. But it is a new product and it will take a little while to get more reviews. So...we are putting together a Test Pilot program.

For anyone that is considering purchase or has already purchased, I will pitch in for your public review of the kit. I am fairly flexible, but items I am considering as "payment" are a Rogue Short-shifter, Evosport pulley kit, or car set fo Carbotech brake pads.

OR

Since we consider this a premium kit and I expect most customers to use for high performance driving, I can include a day of on-track setup/coaching for their use. This is typically a $500+ value and expenses are not included, but I have drivers in various parts of the country that we work with and we all travel a bit. Obviously, more details are involved.

So if anyone wants to take advantage of this deal, email me to discuss.

How soft are the bushings in the upper mounts of the shocks? I know in my 350Z, I could compress the rubber mounts a good quater inch with my bare hands, but I hear what you are saying about the added NVH from spherical bearings. Do the M3's bushings have simiar amounts of deflection? It would be a shame to detract too much from such an incredible damper with bushing slop.

Interestingly enough, this website divulges the spring rates on the GTR kit. Why so secretive about the rates? (sorry, had to ask

Sorry - I only spend about half of my working time in the office. Our sales guys are up to speed and get my feedback so they are good to talk to. Otherwise if you want to talk to the person that is doing the development (which I absolutely encourage) you have to realize that developing parts and track experience doesn't come sitting behind a desk taking phone calls. I have a pretty demanding track schedule, but I always return calls (toll free number) and prefer emails. Unfortunately I don't use PM - it is a little time consuming to go to various forums to track down messages versus having them delivered to my inbox.

My car has stock bars and front guide supports (versus camber plates) and I am content with the wear and tire temp spread (camber can be a crutch for too soft springs). Bars can be added later and will help to control roll on highly loaded tracks but are not critical.

How about this addition - I just got our GC solid plates - will include those and alternate front springs no charge as an option for the Test Pilot program.

OK - spring rtes are about 360F/620R. Due to the design of a Moton, we can typically get away with 100-200# less rate than a similar damper of a different design, which is good for providing more mechanical grip without hurting the car's platform.

As mentioned above, I have camber plates available now, which we will include with purchase - seems like universally everyone wants these.
