You're right....for the same money a fully loaded Camry is a much better car than a stripped down, base 323 or 328.

Absolutely not.

A loaded Camry is still a car that my mother would love to drive - I'd take a 316 with manual windows and front engine crank over it any day of the week. Seriously.

I would take the camry's interior over the 328..period. That is my OPINION.

OK.

But you can't drive the *interior* without the support of the rest of the car - so my question to you is, for the same money would you take a base 328i or a loaded Camry?

See I don't buy this logic at all with this car. I've had the misfortune of being stuck with a 323/8 loaner on multiple occasions. The car is terrible imo. The handling is certainly going to be decent, as is BMW's trademark, but everything else about the car sucks. There is nothing luxury about the car and it more typically is purchased by someone that cares more about the roundel than performance/driving dynamics. Decent handling isn't enough to outweigh the weak engine and total lack of luxury.

At this level, for the same dollars...and that is key....I would take the Camry every time over a base 323/8. 335 is an entirely different conversation.

Hopefully I won't ever happen to get stuck making this decision.

Your right, of course. Might be a minority opinion on this forum (at least I hope).

A 328i stick with just the sports package is a tremendously entertaining car.

By contrast, any Camry puts me to sleep in less than 100 yards - I'd rather bike to work than get a Camry. It's the complete antithesis of my car credo, a great snipping of the even the most humble automotive balls.

(Then again, I think most Lexus models fall pretty much into the same category).

For someone that drive's an M3, this comment made me lol.

No disagreement from me that the Camry is ultra boring both on the outside and driving wise. But you would be in a very small minority of people that are buying 323/8's for their "performance" attributes. Keep in mind it is enthusiasts who tend to frequent these forums and they do not, in any way, represent the largest number of buyers.

You do realize that the new IS F is as fast in a straight line and around the track as an M3.

Every BMW model is boring compared to the LF A.

How did we get here? Seriously... Lots of insecure BMW drivers, sounds like to me.

To the OP... Go drive them all... and see which is best for you.

Be proud that you have a great list of cars to choose from... and not battling on if you should get the Camry or 328! LOL

ISF is very impressive. Not better or worse but different. I'd say definitely worth taking a drive.

And thus the wide difference in our automotive outlooks...

You are absolutely correct - the LF-A, by all accounts, is one of the most entertaining sports cars ever made. But to make the price argument like you do, at the cost of *2* Ferrari 458's...

Offtopic, but my mom just last week refused to get Camry because the interior was too boring and unattractive to her. I am in my forth decade.
