Not true, even Dinan can technically "void" warranty, they are not exempt.
However, most dealers do not care.

Very interesting suggestion. I suppose if I went to a Dinan-certified dealer and got an intake installed then that dealer would probably have to honor the warranty if their work led to a problem. I will definitely research this angle - thanks! |

Mike, I hope you're doing well! Thanks very much for the feedback - I appreciate it. I definitely won't do anything to the exhaust without listening to it first. I'm still leaning towards the OEM Exhaust Mod (non-perforated) based on my research. Thanks again. Jeremy |

Ancient thread revival...has anyone ever tried removing the sound insulation panels numbered 3 and 6 in the diagram below? If so, how much effort was involved? I've been desiring more engine/induction (not exhaust) sound in the cabin, and removal of these may provide a bit of increase.

[QUOTE Not one person has ever thought of removing one of those? [/QUOTE]
The Goke carbon plenum adds a lot of induction noise into the cabin (a la E46 CSL) with a WOT but is refined like stock when cruising. The induction noise is very pleasant and changes with revs - one can almost use the throttle to play a tune! |
