E9x vs F8x race yet?
When do we get to see a well performed 0-60/qtr mi between E92 and F80 M's?
I'd be especially curious to see a supercharged E92 vs F80. My thought: If you have to spend an additional 15k to get F80 performance, prob no point once they're out. also curious where the new M235 and 335 stand in the lineup.

people trade for the new car for more reasons than just performance. they want the new look, new interior, better performance and some want a warranty. idk why people act like just because you add a blower to your E92 it makes the F80 less appealing. to some people
personally i love the E92 body, engine and fit and finish. i would keep my e92 over getting a F80 any day. i would do a full exhuast with a blower to show those F80 guys what a car should sound and act like. but i do see why people want the new for reasons above. |

Do it and never look back. I wish i did it sooner. Was sceptical about reliability and things like that, but man, it feels like i am driving a supercar now

As far as vs goes, I could care less if the car is faster than me in a straight line. It's expected. I'll be more interested when they are consistently passing me on the track.

And really, I'm pretty sure a lot of people when the E90 came out in 2007/2008 said they'd rather keep their E46 and supercharge it and blow the doors off the E90. |

on top of that, we are not sure how tuning will be like on the OEM software. BMW has demonstrated they do not want there turbo engines to be messed with. So i wouldn't say to much about what this new engine can actually do. |

we are looking at least a year for tuning results from this car. there is a lot of development and testing that goes into this. I am pretty certain this car is also going to be the hardest car to tune yet. |

Huge difference between those two in performance department. By looking at F80, it has about the same power output as E90, more torque at low rpm, which is nice for daily driving but not at all at the track. BTW, when F80 comes out and ppl actually put it on the scale, dont be surprized to see almost the same numbers as E90, equally equipped. |

I like to do all the maintanance myself, even when i could do it for free at BMW. The main reason is, i know that it will be done the way it should be. No second guessing. You can wait for 4 years or 50000 miles, and then supercharge it. But as i said before, the only reason i waited for 5 years, because i was sceptical, did a lot of reading, talking to a few owners with supercharged m3s, before i pulled the trigger. Of course there is a risk of something goes wrong and they may deny the warranty, but you have to pay to play. Ican guarantee you one thing, you will forget about warranty and everything else, once you get your hands on a supercharged M3 Last edited by Groundpilot; 04-30-2014 at 06:28 PM.. |

If you look at the dyno graphs, the F80 makes more power at every RPM than the E90. That means more power under the curve not just at peak rpm like the E90 does. Which means even at the same amount of horsepower, the F80 is faster.
