A jet black Acura NSX!!! It's low slug profile still catches my eye! And don't forget about it's slot car performance. For under 40g's used or maybe less with the extra money saved, turbo or SC and a nice set of wheels!

Sad but I guess if your in a position to blow that kind of stupid money on a motor vehicle, then good for you.

Given the unpredictability of this economy and job market, you might best be served using that money more wisely assuming that what ever your income source is now will be short lived..... But who am I to preach life lessons to you..... On a car forum, no less....... You're the one supposedly with $70k to spend, not me, right?
Whoa! This is about cars not me. I'm looking for the most bang for my buck. My hypothetical is 70K. Yours maybe 40K, Tims maybe 200K. Enjoy the mental exercise and leave the rest alone.

If I had $70k to spend I'd look at a lightly used GT-R or M3 for a fun weekend car/daily driver that would still be really quick at the track.

If I just wanted straight line speed it'd probably be the C63.

997 turbo

If you're looking for a DD and/or want more room, I guess you can also consider an e60m and x5m, but for 70k, I'd have a land cruiser and a 997 turbo.

Wouldn't mind some work to save up for one myself

Right on. Saiga 12 gauge FTW. I ALWAYS wanted a lifted, full trail armored, snorkeled, Toyota Tacoma or Ford Bronc 4x4 with 36 inch wheels. Zombie apocalypse here I come!

the most confusing part about this response to me is the fact that BMW sells so many freakin vehicles around or above $70K... yet for some reason you still think this amount is absurd? A freakin 335i vert optioned out can run you close to $70K after taxes and fees. Is every new porsche 911 owner in the world irresponsible to you?
