Rezoom Motorsports HPDE VIR

Rezoom Motorsports - VIR 5/26/2011
www.rezoommotorsports.com

Yesterday was my first time running with this club. I signed up on Motorsport Reg just for fun. Very affordable for one day (Well under $300) especially with 6-30 minute sessions for each group.

Rezoom is a pretty new club but everyone and everything was awesome. The event went smoothly with no issues. Plenty of track time, each group had 10-15 cars if that. Very low key.

If you are on the East Coast take a look at their website, www.rezoommotorsports.com and sign up for some events

Daytona in December!

von_zoom (Doc) nice to see ya out there and thanks again for the beers!

Thanks. I'm overlaying the data on my go pro video then the videos will be ready to go. I don't look at any lap times while I am on track but I noticed last time out I was consistent at 2:08/9 in the Gt3. I lose a lot of time in the uphill esses because I am focusing too much at all the other Porsche Tombstones in the cow pastures on the right! You need to make up time in turn 3, uphill esses, oak tree...16 and 17.

I am right around 95 going into turn 3 and I need to be closer 105. Uphill esses I need to carry more speed uphill instead of coming into them too fast then screwing up my line. Oak tree I am fine, 3rd down to 2nd and then flat out. 16 and 17 well, that is an area you can carry a lot of speed onto the front straight. I am working on going faster in that area. I think with cool weather and slicks on the Gt3 I can pull a 2:05/6 which is alright for a crappy driver like myself..
von_zoom and I will be there this weekend with Track Daze and he is going to school me!

I use #666 for my events. Never have I run into someone else using them

I was in the black bmw 328 with the spoiler (my tent blew down LOL)

that group was a lot of fun to run with....its nice not having a couple hundred cars in the paddock and dozens out on the track at the same time

I used my gopro for the first time at the event and love it!

nice porsche btw

I agree - Rezoom, (no kin to VonZoom) is a good group to run with - new at HPDE and only track time now but class room to follow in the future. Good to see you Martin, and from the times you quote, doubt you need me. My time, the day of the event :-).
See you this week end.

Consider Hand driving Turner's M3 runs 2:04 and change, I doubt I can help you much. I am but a mortal.

Hi Martin,
One thing to consider is to schedule time with a driving coach. I used Peter Kraus last time I was at VIR and it was a huge help. He combines telemetry, which perhaps you already have) with his experience of the course and racing background to point out areas where you can improve. I found it to be very helpful. He's a nice guy too.

Yep peter is a cool guy for sure! I need more seat time and confidence in a few areas. My problem is my balls, they are too small to drive flat out in some areas where I should be

I have 16 days signed up in June so I be out there
