Even though the M3 seemed to loose control and weave into the EVO, the EVO should have been more cautious passing. Drivers are signaling and passing on the right as you can see from the last car the EVO passes, the Porsche. He doesn't wait to see if the M3 sees him, the M3 is clearly in trouble, but not signaling the pass and possibly too busy to keep track of the EVO, then bang.
If it was a race, I would agree with it being the fault of the M3, but on a track day where everyone is signaling a safe pass and the EVO driver passes regardless of signals- well it's inevitable he surprises someone.

Title is misleading. I doesn't look like the EVO and M3 touched at all. The M3 forced the EVO into the weeds where it spun and hit the wall.
Cheers.

The EVO should have have dumped his throttle once leaving hitting the grass....he would have coasted pass the M3, avoid spinning out and hitting the wall. END OF STORY.

The M3 driver clearly had too much car for him to handle. I thought the Evo driver had time and space to lessen the damage as he was only going 77mph when the M3 started losing it.
It could have been impossible to avoid any contact, but for the EVO to wipe out like it did.....total fail! |

Damn, that evo is fast.
M3 lost line and looks like maybe a panic brake too. May not have seen the evo coming. No excuse though... m3 driver fail

Stuff like that happens in F1 all the time. An inexperienced rookie vs an overaggressive veteran (or maybe a stupid rookie?). Both's fault IMO.

the Evo messed up by trying to pass him in the bend like that ( @ that speed there was no need to ) especially when theres another bend right after , pay attention closely to where the M cuts in way before the evo that right their should have been enough for the evo driver to say let me hit the brakes cause he's being selfish but at the same token the M3 driver shouldn't have cut in so early and agressivly without looking whats behind him , thats why when i race i only pass in forgiving moments and straight aways , you never know the other guys driving language so play safe !!!
Now the porsche is a smart driver by giving right hand signal telling the evo im staying right your clear to pass .... this being said Evo ( dumb) M3( inexperienced and stupid ) porsche ( the wise driver with his car intact ) |

Agreed. He didn't look back but he also went from the inside to the outside where he could have stayed on the inside. By going to the inside and then moving towards the outside he gave the driver behind him the impression he could pass. Of course that is unless he didn't check his mirrors and had no clue that someone was behind him to begin with. Sounds like something an American or Asian driver would do. |

clearly briefed in the driver briefing that faster cars were not to pass until the slower cars in front has indicated, firstly that he has seen you in his mirrors and secondly that its safe to pass.
