Road America – 10/16/10 – Photos

Have some photos to share from my first track event with the M (and first time at Road America). Popped her cherry right at 3,100 miles. The event was hosted by Mark Pfeffer (MVP Track Time), who did a fantastic job of maximizing track time and keeping everything moving smoothly throughout the day. It was an unbelievable track and an awesome experience. I'll definitely be signing up for most of his events near Chicago next year.

I was running stock fluid and pads, which were pretty much cooked by the end of the day. I wanted to swap them out, but I couldn't find time in the end since I'm never available during the week and almost every shop is closed on weekends.

I did not encounter the CTS-V on the track. There were almost 40 of us on the track at one time, and it's a long track. The photo you saw the CTS-V in is from the warm-up session (hence why all the cars are so close together). There were a lot of fast cars in the novice group, including a ZR1 and a Scuderia. I passed my share of cars throughout the day, including a couple Z06s, but the most satisfying was the C63, which couldn't hold it in the corners. You can see the ZR1 in this picture.

nice pics, can see mine in that taped up mustang shot. Road america is brutal on the brakes, had swapped out pads and upgraded fluid and still fried the brakes... awesome time, cya next year...
p.s. it was awesome passing the c63, he started off twice in front of me and had him after 3 turns both times... M3>C63... at the track at least
