Getting more into DE's/racing got questions.
so after my track day, Im pretty hooked. I'd like to take my m3 out on de's a few times a year.
In addition to that, I've been asked by a coworker to join his racing team (he has a porsche 924s he uses for chump car racing). So now I have access to a garage, gear, storage..etc.etc. previously, there was no way I could keep a set of track wheels/tires around, but now it sounds like thats a very good possibility. So whats the best way to go? my m3 has the stock 18" wheels. I hear I want 18's for track cause there are more tire choices. should I look at getting a set of 19's for daily driving and keep my 18's for the track? should I buy track specific wheels? etc.. |

Congrats on your new addiction!
Check out the lone sticky at the top of this sub-forum, there are lots of threads that will answer many of your questions as you get started. Including this one, which discusses wheel size (18, 19). I would recommend spending money learning as much as you can about you and your car before investing in separate wheels. If you're planning to go out a few times a year, it may not be worth it.
