What to do in a DCT in case of a spin

There is still time for me to take the M3 to the track (still break-in). But I was thinking about this the other day. On a manual, when you spin, the rule is simple: Both feet-in. What do you do in a DCT car?

Good question. I would say DCT shifter to the left for "N".

That's what I'm thinking, but how fast that works? I remember reading somewhere in the forum that you have to push to the left and hold for several seconds. I haven't tried yet.

Because the car is in motion. Yes.

Perhaps the transmission has logic driven by the wheel sensors and yaw angle sensor so it puts itself in neutral?

You don't have to do anything with the DCT in the event of a spin. It's smart enough to know to disengage the clutch in that case (I know from personal experience).

So in a DCT car, if you spin, just one foot on the brake is all you need to do.

You don't need to do anything. The transmission is clever enough to shift to no-gear when you do a 180 and start going backwards. Nothing to worry about

I haven't spun out on the track (yet) so I don't know (and don't want to know) how it behaves there. I suspect something similar happens. In any case brake hard and do nothing else so that the car will just go straight, which is not towards the wall with higher probability.
thats is correct ... another advantage of having dct i guess ...
