Is the Turner Rolex GT M3 running the DCT?
Or a sequential tranny? My assumption is a sequential - but I saw a video recently that made it seem like the DCT - it was seamless and immediate on both upshifts and downshifts.

I see 3 pedals in the first vid on the GT car, so it must be a squential box. I don't know how reliable DCT/DSG boxes are for endurance racing, and I assume they are heavier than a squential box.

It is a S62 not an S65 and is a full tube chassis car like every other car in the class with the exception of the Porsches which are a factory tub car.

It's a sequential box with automatic ignition cut, that is, zero lift upshift (perhaps downshift too with auto blip). The clutch pedal is only used when starting from a standstill.

I'm not sure its a full tube chassis...
I remember seeing the Rahal/Letterman GT2 up close and it looked like a tub chassi to me. But I could be wrong. Also, I've been in touch with Drenth and Xtrac (manuf of sequential magic) Drenth has a sequential that mates directly to the S65 @ $18k USD It weighs 100 lbs less then a DCT tranny I believe that the R/L GT2 uses a custom Xtrac |
