Road Trip to Canada

Sackets Harbor, NY on Lake Ontario. Last Wednesday!

Spectacular Drive. Went from Philly to Syracuse to Kingston Ontario. Drove the entire lake back to Fort Erie. Then back to Philly on Sunday (1,300 Miles). Had a smile on my face the whole time!!!!

Got my A/C recharged as it wasn't blowing quite as cold as I wanted. The shop pressure tested the system (no leaks), removed 0.5lb of R134A and added back 1.4lb and all is good now.
Kinda surprised that refrigerant can evaporate from a closed system after 6 years when other cars I've owned for far longer never seemed to lose any, but the BMW shop said they've seen this fairly frequently.

Will have to do this too then. My AC isn't as cold as my 335i was

Got all the recalls on my car fixed

Headline act was the Takata claymore in the steering wheel that was only recalled a week ago here in Australia (my E46 M3 was recalled years ago). Figured I'd beat the rush (and stay alive).

My AC was on point last night with the top down and temps around 75 and dry. I heard a lot of thunder though whenever I would throttle her. I wondered if a wicked storm was coming.

Not too far from you - we got some wicked storms last night! My 2 dogs were not happy.

I was actually trying to be facetious...saying the throttle of the M was putting out the sound of thunder equivalent to an actual weather event.

Passenger Restraint Malfunction

Got a Passenger Restraint Malfunction last week. Dealer diagnosed passenger seat belt tensioner. I R&R with new OEM. Naturally the code does not clear. My cheap OBD II won't help. Are there scanner/readers out there that will help with all codes on these BMWs?

I picked up my baby yesterday from getting the AM front lip installed. Fitment is not perfect, but for $250 I'm satisfied for now. Also, got the car detailed today so I could go take pics with the lip installed.

2 things happened to me after getting this lip.

1. I discovered that deep down inside I had a hidden CF addiction. Now I want side skirts, diffuser, spoiler, and maybe exhaust tips. It just looks so damn good.

2. If I thought I disliked steep driveways and speed bumps before, I can say that it has now grown into a full blown hatred lmao.

Here are some pics. I don't know if I could possibly love this car any more than I do.

How much did this cost? I think I need to do the same.

How many times did you have to refuel?

About $160 after tax. Most of that was labor (~1 hr). Probably could have gotten it done a good bit cheaper at a non-BMW specialist shop or local Firestone, but I don't really trust those guys to work on my nice cars.
