New pad shape for '10-'11???

TireRack does not show any M3 compatible pads for 2010 and 2011 M3s, but they do have some for 2009s. Has there been a pad change, or is it an omission on their part?

Most likely an omission, as nothing has changed, but check a site like realoem to make sure. And if anything changed, it was material, not pad shape or size.
