Hello,

I have a complete, cat-back, low mileage Akrapovic exhaust system with titanium tips option AND GT4 center section off my E90 M3 for sale.

The entire system is complete, scratch free, no dents, etc.

The system has less than 10,000 miles on it and more importantly, the center section (where the catalytic converters are) has less than 1000 miles on it.

After the first few events, the center section was swapped out with a GT4 center section – which is included with this system.

The Akrapovic GT4 center section was duplicated by my fabricator in tig-welded 18 gauge 304 stainless steel. Like the Akrapovic titanium exhaust itself, the center section is a piece of art and fits perfectly. The materials to build it and it’s overall design were obtained from Burns Stainless.

The center section adds horsepower, adds a bit of throaty sound and is lighter than the Akrapovic center section due to no resonators or catalytic converters. It also has a much better design than the Akrapovic center section and flows more air – see comparison pics. It give you the option of using the Akrapovic center section on the street where it will be quieter and you can pass smog, then install the center section for track days – up to you.

Also included is a set of lightweight titanium tips. I made them myself to save weight on the race car. The original titanium tips from Akrapovic are included as well.

To answer a few questions and clarify a few things...

I do not have a sound byte of the car from the outside, but I do have a few videos of in-car with sound…

…you can hear the screech of the tires over the sound of the engine and exhaust at points.

Also here at Laguna…

(wait til I pass the Porsche to hear just my car as I go through the gears)


It’s really not all that loud – at least for a race car ;-)

I would say the piece will perform and sound very similar to the Akrapovic GT4 piece. The internal dimensions of the pipe are the same.

Please note - regarding the GT4 center section...

I WOULD be willing to sell it separate for $1500 and I WOULD ship it for free to any of the 48 continental states. I would pack it up nice for and ship it UPS. I paid a little more than that for it plus I had to add the hanger part myself (though I had a pro do the welding).

$1500 might seem like a lot for a piece of stainless steel, but it is a great piece. The whole thing weighs only 7.5 lbs. I picked up horsepower with it and it fits perfect. The Akarapovic titanium GT4 pieces are going for $3000 used if you can find them.
