~14 for city driving.

So how close have you guys come to running out of gas on the track? I ran it down to 1.5 gallons once.

on a long trip this spring (over 3000 KM) I managed to get 11 L/100KM going about 10% above Canadian and US speed limits. Here and then I gave her the gun she likes it when I do it and no highway patrol around ...

16.9 the first 5,500 miles. Gets 23+ on the highway at 65, 22+ at 75. The city is challenged with lots of red lights which knocks it down.

just hit 1200 miles. 50/50 highway/city, but my highway commute is usually fairly stop and go.

I am improving. 14.9mpg at 485 miles. What's interesting is that this M3 is only marginally worse than my 328i because I had to keep my foot in the 328i constantly. The M3, not so much.
FYI, I've been using 93 octane (citgo) exclusively.

Average around 18.5 but I got 6.7 on the last track outing.

Showed up at the track with 3/4 of a tank. At lunch, had to fill up with about 1/8 of a tank remaining. Left the track on fumes after the afternoon sessions. So I burned almost two tanks of gas in one track day. Gotta love it

At the track yesterday I was burning through 1/4 tank of gas for every 20 minute session (about 5 or 6 laps each).

So what's the capacity of the car? Manual says 16 gal INCLUDING a reserve. I've added 16 gal before! I figure the reserve MUST be in addition. Has anyone found out???

Had the M3 for 3 weeks now, averaged 16.5mpg the first 2 weeks, now I'm averaging 19mpg, 50/50 city and hiway driving.

I think this is pretty good for the M3, I averaged 20MPG with the Corvette before the M3.

I ran out of gas last week when my gas guage froze at the 1/3 mark, I pumped 58L at the pump and added 4/5L from a gas can.

I made a mistake it was 8-10L from a gas can........so 58+10=68L max.
