Jerez Black Sedan Pictures
Just picked mine up yesterday (Saturday). Shot these pictures under very strong sunlight with deep blue sky. You can see how this brings out the blue in the Jerez Black. It does not look like this normally.
The car is absolutely gorgeous. Anyone who says the sedan doesn't look great doesn't know what they are talking about. It's also an absolute beast! I'll post more pictures when I get a chance. PS: Mark DiMeo of BMW Peabody (Mass) managed to get the car ready for me in remarkably little time. Really appreciated his efforts. Would recommend him to other customers. |

Very nice, im beginning to like the sedan more and more, blacklines are a MUST in my opinion.
And yea, that does look like some scratches or serious swirl marks.

Looks like the shipping wax is still on the car. Congrats on the purchase! I still have wax marks on my widshield after a year on my 335.

For the first time in my life I am leaning towards a black M3 sedan. I have owned so many white cars and now own a Deep Sea Blue 535i. Trying to sell it now and cant decide between a white, ssII or JB M3 sedan.....

Great looking car! No offense, but I think they cut some corners on the detailing front to get the car in your hands quickly
P.S. Thanks for the pics from a real camera!!!

Thank you all for the comments. I love the car. Major step up from my '97 M3 sedan, though it is amazing how much I can feel the lineage all the way back to my first BMW - a 2002.
As for the swirl marks and shipping wax: The dealer really hussled to get me the car on Saturday. As I understand it, the boat landed in NJ/NY on Wednesday, the car was on a truck on Friday AM, at the dealer on Friday PM, and in my hands on Saturday. I can't complain, they did me a favor to move so fast. I couldn't wait another day. I had been losing sleep in anticipation of getting the car. Reading this forum is bad news for car envy! |

I like regular 3-series coupe more than regular 3-series sedan. But I like M3 sedan more than M3 coupe. Because M3 sedan has the practicality but with the coupe's gorgeous front-end, which regular 3-series sedan lacks. Congratulations. As far as the swirl marks go, nothing to worry about, I am sure many polish compounds and a PC could fix that. Enjoy your powerful ride.

Your M3 looks amazing, post more of the bamboo. Enjoy in good health
As for the paint, they are in fact paint marring/washing swirls. May or may not bother you, Zaino isn't going to help remove those if you do want to fix them. Detailing is a decease, and something I really wish I didn't get into. Just pay a pro and get it done right and be done with it. Let me know if you want help finding someone good in your area.. |

I think the bamboo looks great. The carbon fibre trim is ok. As others have remarked, the leather is very nice. As for help in finding a good pro for detailing, I would truly appreciate the help. I don't know where to start. I wish I had the time to do it myself, but I certainly don't at this point in my life. |

Thank you.
As for mods, forget it! One of the beautiful things about the M3 is that it is fabulous out of the box. I don't care to experiment with mods - they are most are likely to hurt the car. I have enormous respect for the BMW engineers, and I sincerely doubt that I or others around me could make the car better. Another feature is that with the Power and EDC buttons, it has multiple personalities. The car can be toned down to make my wife happy (softer than my previous E36 M3), and with the push of a button turned back into a beast for me! The only thing I wish I had done differently, so far, is the to have ordered the premium audio. Everything about this car is so fabulous that the regular audio seems ho-hum by comparion. It doesn't seem to be any better than in my previous '97 M3. When I ordered the car, I convinced myself that I didn't care about the audio, but in retrospect I think I should have gotten the premium audio. |
