Looking for REPUTABLE Xpel or Ventureshield Installer in Houston
Hey fellas, I'm picking up my M5 tomorrow and am looking for a REPUTABLE Xpel or Ventureshield installer in Houston. Any recommendations would be much appreciated! Also, does anyone know how much I would be looking at to do the hood, fenders, bumper and mirrors?

Clear bra installers
The SEARCH button would take you to the 4th page of threads to a thread starting on 3/23/12.
Input from the folks who use this forum would lie therein. Hope you like your new M5. |

Thanks, I tried searching before posting and I again searched using the terms "clear bra installer" and didn't yield the results you indicated. Perhaps you could just post a link for a fellow M'er?

Pretty sure Gary does clear-bra work. He usually works out of BMW North, and has done some great tint work for forum members.
PM me for his #, or give BMW North a call and I'm sure they can hook you up with him. He does a lot (all?) of their in-house stuff as well. Edit to include the link fro 540gone because good god that is a mess: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=666460

[0.00] It all epends on the condition of your paint. I waited after my 2nd track day and regret waiting so long because I picked up quite a few rock chips. The new water-based paints chip very easily. You can always just do the hood and fenders which should be less than 50% of the cost. __________________ _______________________ 2011 1 Series M Coupe/VO/Convenience Pkg/Premium Pkg/Harman Kardon/AFE Scoops/Berk Midpipes/P3 V2/BMS Catch Can/CF Rear Deck Spoiler/3M Clear Bra/3M Crystalline/Homelink/M Performance Steering Wheel 03-27-2012, 02:10 PM #6 scott@bmwhn Captain Drives: Msport 328i Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: Houston Posts: 869 iTrader: (2) +1 for Steve @ invisishield (thats who we use). I have a couple of "non-kit" issues they will have to deal with so it will be a "semi-custom" install I guess. I have the OE CF splitters on the front and I want them to do the rocker panels as well. It is my understanding neither of these is accomodated by their pre-cut templates. I'll post the results, both how they deal with the "non-standard requests, and how the overall quality of install turns out. 03-28-2012, 12:42 PM #8 TXmtrhed Private First Class Drives: VO 1M Join Date: Aug 2010 Location: Katy, TX Posts: 116 iTrader: (0) Shouldn't have any "non-kit" issues. The entire front of my 1M was hand cut since there was no kit available last June. Later, I noticed a blem on one of the mirror housings and they took care it without questions. Steve's partner does window tinting too. 03-28-2012, 03:59 PM #9 540gone Private Drives: '11 X5d, '11 E90 M3 Join Date: Feb 2010 Location: Houston, TX & Santa Fe, NM Posts: 51 iTrader: (1) UPDATE - Just left Invisishield's shop (at Driver's Source on Memorial). They did a beautiful job, no issues with the cutouts for the splitters and they did a custom cut for the area behind the rear fender wells, as well as a partial covering for the front section of the rocker panels where rock chips from the front wheels would happen. I'm a happy customer and let's just say I'm pretty much an anal retentive perfectionist. Three techs were there working on my car and they were done about 1 1/2 hours after I arrived They made a big point of saying that if ANYTHING didn't look right, to bring it back immediately and they would take care of it. This shop also does the computer cutouts. I paid approx $700 all-in for the following: Entire Front bumper Headlights Fog lights 18" up the hood 18" up the side fenders Side mirrors Its not really about the shop but the person doing the install, thats why i recommend him. For ventureshield go to Chris at Star Motors. I saw a GTR that he did and it looked fantastic. It included the front cap and sides. Not sure what he charges, but it was a top notch job.
