M3s in a 21st Century Insurance Commercial

Not sure if anyone has seen this, but thought it was pretty cool... 2 m3s in the back of this 21st Century Insurance Commercial.

That color on the left is beautiful.

Not sure why they are using 2 M3s in a commercial about stolen cars. I don't think it's even close to the top of the list. I guess two 1990s era Honda accords wouldn't have looked as good.

Well, maybe that commercial would play better in the UK then?

Don't think it's about showing the car most likely to get stolen. Likely they chose a car that the viewer would feel strongly about if it were stolen. No one is going to feel the pressure to get car insurance when looking at a Honda Civic. The M3 (hopefully) elicits a strong positive feeling then the viewer gets punched in the face with the thought of losing it with no insurance.

...not that I'm in marketing or anything, juss' sayin

Is it just me or do these two look like 335i's with body kits and 19" wheels from a E46 M3??

^^I was thinking the same thing when I first saw it. Looks like renders or models built on cad program?

yeah, the more I look at it something seems off... I am wondering if they are just 3d renders, but if they are they look like pretty good renders.

Ditto.

Before the guy raises his hands the front of the car doesn't have a roundel, so I think they are pieced together cars to make it look like a BMW, but not actually copy any specific car, and potentially have to pay licensing fees to someone.

Now if the were to steal the wheels, it would be right on.

they had to do "significant" amounts of modifications to the image of the car. The M3 design and appearance is copyrighted. That's why it looks distorted

It had said effect on my 6 year old son. I am pretty sure he'd punch in the face anyone who thought about stealing "his M". Maybe I should have given in and gifted my S2000 to him for his 4 year old Christmas gift. Then I wouldn't be looking forward to breaking the bad news to him...

Cool pick for that commercial. I saw it the first time about a month ago. They seem to show it alot on the Velocity channel.
