i drive upgrade/reprogramming

Hi guys,
I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade/add/reprogram the i-drive's hard disk. To be more specific my car is a 12/2009 production model but it doesn't have the internet and office options. After i saw what BMW presented in Paris http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=433563 i wonder if we can make our cars even better. What do you think?

I was hoping this would be available via software update. I have no idea if it will be or not, but I plan on asking when I get my next service.

This question has been answered several times already... the new iDrive Office and iPod features require new hardware.

BMW already stated that there is no retrofit possible to pre-2011.5 iDrive, but there are aftermarket vendors working on a hardware/software solution.

Function will be accessible only through combox. It will not be necessary to activate any services. Will work with a mobile phone through bluetooth. On F series it is already activated
