Four Generations of M3's
At the first autocross of the season 1/1/12 every generation of M3 showed up!!!! The venue is Marina Airport in California with NorCal UFO holding the event. We figured we had to do a quick photo op after fun runs. These are just the preliminary iPhone pics. The shoot was also done with a 16 megapixel DSLR so we will post those as soon as we can.
The results just got posted and I am 90% here is how everyone finished (in compairison to M3's only): E90 M3 - fastest E46 M3 - 2nd E30 M3 - 3rd E36 M3 - 4th Obviously course layout, mods, and drivers play into it, but still fun to see the results too. Without further ado, here are 4 generations of M3's, as of now, ALL the generations: My girl "Insta Gram'ed" them:

I m surprised the E36 M3 came last....VERY surprised actually. Obviously like you have stated drivers/mods play a huge roll in the placement, but in my 95 M3 i usually am faster than E46 M's/G37S/Older model STI's/ and similar cars.
Cool pics none the less ! Thanks for sharing. |

The E36 is really fast at autocross. They pretty much dominate the classes they run in in the San Francisco autocrosses. I don't see how the E46 or E90 can be faster unless they are more modified.
