While exact details of the ZCP Competition Package are not yet available, if the E46 M3 Competition model is any indication, there will be both performance and cosmetic enhancements. The E46 M3 competition package included tweaks to the car's handling via a tuned suspension, a more direct steering ratio, larger wheels, CSL brakes, larger rotors, and high performance tires.

Cosmetic enhancements included alcantara fabric throughout the interior and a alcantara steering wheel and handbrake. A new exclusive color, Interlagos Blue, was also introduced with the ZCP Competition Package.

What upgrades the new M3 Competition Package will include remains to be seen, but it's safe to say we'll many similar enhancements from the E46 M3 ZCP.
interlagos has always been available. and its not new

The question is "Are any of us willing to trade in our M3s and lose tons of money to get a 2011 ZCP M3?" I know I'm not.

because half the aftermarket crap out there is junk and it contributes to voiding all or parts of your warranty.

The comp package also offers things that are not available on the aftermarket... ie faster steering rack, special paint codes, interior options etc.

Not saying it is or isn't worth the money but there is a reason for it to be available.

Yep. Basically, freaking cloth , but manufacturers charge customers the same as leather; what a rip-off. And wears badly on contact areas. I'd only use it as a headliner myself.

Isn't this old news? I guess the fact that ZCP will actually be offered in MY11 is news, but the details of the package have been all but confirmed here:

I was being sarcastic lol , it just always seems that the people always seem to say aftermarket parts are better. I agree with you tho, i would rather get this and have warranty.

I cant wait to see what it looks like and hear the details. did you guys see the 335is? They actually have a rear diffusor that doesnt look bad at all.

I don't know if the European content of the Competition Package is anything to go by for the US, but this is what we get here:

Competition Package (around € 3,600 + VAT)
  • exclusive wheels: 19" - Style 359M - Y-Spoke
  • Lower suspension (-10mm)
  • New SPORT mode for EDC
There might be more features, though, at least for the US.

Best regards,
south

The only thing that interesting me is the more direct steering ratio. I wonder how much that will change the driving feel.

So no Brembo brakes and no Recaro seats (BMW Performance) ? They should have been stock on any M3.

I think I would rather take the $12k and select my own mods but I will reserve judgment until I see pics of the car, the official list, and US pricing.

It would be nice if BMW would offer performance seats that were plug and play on this package and work on all previous editions of the E9X for the U.S. market!

I highly doubt this package will offer anything so incredible that it would be worth trading our cars in other then a power increase and performance seats which I doubt we are getting, even at that point it would be cheaper to buy a stroker kit with the amount of Money most of us would lose selling our cars, and if there is a new sport setting I don't see why we wouldn't be able to get our current Edc flashed or something along those lines, after all it is all electronic
