Got around to prep my new ED 2012 E92 M3

I took delivery of my 2012 M3 back in December after my European Delivery at the end of October. As soon as I received the car I drove it to the Welt's parking lot and I applied a coat of Menzerna Power Lock Sealer to protect the paint. When I dropped it off at the airport I did not wash the car and I instructed the dealership not to wash my car. I received it with the same bugs I left them with in Germany. I was happy to know that nobody have touched or attempted to wash my car. Therefore, no swirl marks whatsoever

I have only been washing the car but this past weekend I've got around to clay, glaze and seal it with Menzerna Finishing Glaze PO115 C and Menzerna Power Lock Sealer.

Here are the results:

Typical BMW Orange Peel

That is dedication! Car looks sharp!

Isnt this your 10th ED car? I recall you picking up another BMW the same time as I did at the Welt

Le Mans Blue. This color is growing on me since all my previous cars have been Alpine White. Definately more maintenance oriented.

Forgot about the interior

The inside is as well as or more important than the outside. So I've treated the seats and dash with my favorite leather care and condition Leperpflege by Einszett and on top of that Leather Protection Cream by Leather Master.
For the dash I use Einszett Cockpit Premium Interior Cleaner and I top it off with 303 to protect it from the Miami Sun.

Looks great, did you think about a coating like Wolf's Body Wrap, Opti coat, Cquartz?

I know powerlock is great as well. Interior looks spotless and good choice on products

Not really, I rather bring the shine and deep colors with glaze, sealers and wax. I am putting Swissvax on top of Power Lock so I don't think that would work for me. If I were to do something in those lines I would get a full film wrap on hood and fenders.

Looking at all these detail threads is seriously making me hate our snowy winters right now...and I typically love snow, haha.

Car looks great.

I made the big mistake of having our dealer "prep" our paint before we took delivery. I should have requested them not to do it...

Winter in Miami is around 70F, great detailing weather, sorry guys. Tomorrow I will be working on putting a couple of layers of Swissvax Blau-Weiss on top of Menzerna Power Lock. Good to go for six months.

Car looks good. Since this is your 5th ED you should know that ED cars get washed multiple times at VDC. But at least at VDC they are much more careful about cleaning the cars than the dealer.

Great color combo BTW.

Mine didn't get washed. Otherwise the bugs would have been removed.

I don't know about that. But I can tech you how to do it right. Florida is a great place to be this time of the year. I see a lot of Quebec plates on the streets right
now.
