The place that sold me the engine tells me I need to reuse my original 2008 harness.

The place thats installing the motor mistakenly used the harness that came with the 2011 motor. And at this point taking it out and swapping it is a major lag in the process and im on a very tight schedule, so I would rather not do that if I know I don't have to.

Yes it should work. The 11s have start stop so there is an additional module in the control box, so you might want to purchase and install that if the wiring is there. Other than that I don't see why it wouldn't work.
