I only know that the first 2010's will most likely hit the dealers sometime in November. Ordering will probably take place 2 months prior to that.

the first ones will come off the line in middle september. I think that mine was the first '09 on this forum (or close to it), and it was at the dealer in Germany on september 9th. for US bound M3s, it will be longer due to boat transport. the bottomline is that 2010 M3s are going to roll off the line as soon as the plant comes back online after the exodus/vacation in august.

I have no regrets on ordering my '09 last month.....But I'm still excited to find out the updates on the 2010. I'm sure there won't be much though.

there's almost certainly going to be new tails and new headlights...i'd say that's pretty significant.

I think that's some more months away and will take place in March 2010.

Best regards,
south

I don't doubt that. Contrary to some reports, I'm under the impression that the E92 LCI will take place in March 2010. That's why BMW offers the M3 editions for the coming 6 months.

Best regards,
south

wow...i haven't been following the 2010 news very closely, but that is the first i've heard that the e92 LCI will come in march. Not sure if that is a good or a bad thing...

well, you'll get a 2010 in august/september, but it might not have the LCI. What southlight said was the first i've heard of a March 2010 LCI, but he is usually right about this kind of stuff!

On the Coupe though, right? I ordered a Sedan, and the changes for the new tails have already happened on the '09 MY.....So I doubt BMW would do it again for the 2010 sedan. Even if they do something like that, I still think the '09 Sedan is tough to improve upon. I'm happy as is.

South wouldn't the tooling all change for September (not sure why they wouldn't introduce until March 2010)?

Anyway... I've ordered my MY10 - have to officially wait until the end of August till I get the VIN number etc.

Sooo excited.. this is my first Bimmer!

2010's will be available from week 34 build. I suspect there will be minor changes then,

LCI I think will be March 2010. BMW usually make changes either around week 10 or week 34.

I don't think the LCI will be out until March 2010 given that BMW just released the M3 Coupe Edition model.

but if the tail lights change similar to the E90
the tooling will have to change too since the trunk lid for pre facelift is different
so wouldn't it make sense to retool during the time when the factory is shut down?

Me too ('cept I ordered earlier took delivery June). I don't think they'll change much; though iDrive will likely get the new voice command update.

No one knows for sure since it's not official. If anything, the coupe may go through more of a change than the sedan since the sedan had been refreshed for 2009 already.
