Got M Performance Exhaust This Week

I not only enjoy flushing money away I enjoy burning it in my fireplace. The crackle and pop when burning $100 bills is so much sweeter than sappy pine or hard oak can manage. And the smell,... OMG! Oh, yeah, still no drone.

Yea! I just ordered mine yesterday from Tischer BMW (getbmwparts.com, they had the best price that I could find)... though it is listed as "On Order", so its not "In Stock", but isn't backordered at least, so an extra 2-4 days until it ships from Tischer. It will be my first mod, and I plan on doing it myself. Its going to be fun, and the result is going make the m3 sound that much better! I'm never going want to get rid of this machine!!

I think you will both love the sound from the exhaust. Not too loud yet not too mellow like the OEM.

I am going to get mine installed at my local dealership.

Anyone know how much it will cost to get the PE installed?

I beleive they charged me around $400.00. I could have done it myself however I had the exhaust installed prior to my picking up the car so I would get the full warranty on it instead of the 2 year parts only warranty. If I already had the car I would have most likely attempted it myself as it does not look that difficult.

Thanks for all the info here guys. It helped me with my choice. Got the M performance on order.

My choice was particular, as my stock exhaust has to be replaced under waranty (drone between 2500 and 3000 RPM). I always found that the E92 stock exhaust was slightly missing something. So I asked the dealer how much he would charge me if he installed an M perf exhaust instead of the stock exhaust (crediting the stock exhaust and installation under waranty). The price was good and after reading about all the happy owners here, I decided to go for it.

I'll post my feedback as soon as I have it installed.

Glad to hear people like this exhaust. Can someone tell me if this is ordered with the car? My dealer said it was not ordered, rather installed at the dealer. Want to make sure it's under the 4yr/50k warranty, etc. I thought I saw some people having theirs installed at the port, not the dealer..

I had mine installed at the dealer prior to purchasing the vehicle. I retain the full 4yr/50k and was able to take the OEM muffler home.

My personal preference is most likely a bit louder, but I have to say. Probably the best looking exhaust IMO. My recent cars have had black parts, but this looks best(classy) the way it is.

With post delivery installation the warranty is 2 years or the remainder of the new car warranty, whichever is greater. This means its no big deal if you do not get it installed before delivery, you are still covered out to the remainder of the factory warranty regardless.
