Better safe than sorry. IND sells something that you could use.

You sure about that? I thought some vendors were including aftermarket shields with the exhaust and connecting pipes. They didnt come that way from Eisnemann.

Yes but what you actually pay for them will depend on the vendor. Some may throw them in with the exhaust if you ask nicely.

I'll take exhaust wrap route, too, on my forthcoming akra. It is cheaper, too.

if i buy 11600 w/o clamps where and what size clamps do i need?
Depends on what exhaust you are using, I measured the diameter of my exhaust and just bought some clamps that fit in the range at Autozone or Kragen or Pepboys.

People looking for this, I bought these from race-mart.com, at the time I bought them they were the cheapest around: Here's a link:

http://www.race-mart.com/Clamp-On-Ex...-_c_17006.html

Currently it lists for $18.43/each, and you need two.

Now that is a deal! Got it shipped pretty quick.

I don't work for race-mart or associated with it, just found it as having the cheapest price by far when I needed them last year.

I tend to forget and have the same complaint...but we still have to realize, at the end a business is a business...bottom line is most important, if a for profit company isn't profitting, than there is no point to be a company.

Look online, I got my set for cheaper than most people. Look in the DIY section, i put up the appropriate part numbers. If you aren't sure take a look at the thermo-tec website.
I'm thinking Bout pulling the trigger on these. Will they cause ur pipes to rattle or make vibration noises? So I've heard.

No, you heard wrong, if they are properly installed.

I installed silver colored exhaust wrap (secured by 2 SS tie wraps on each pipe). So far so good and no possibility of rattling.
