Very interesting build. I'd like to know how this NA experiment went? What happened to the engine build?

And we still don't know if these cams actually make any additional HP

They have been shown to make 20rwhp. I know Malek uses them in his 4.2 stroker that pulls to 9k rpm.

Despite all the naysayers, cams will undoubtedly make power

On the S54, many cried for years that cams were pointless. What they should have been saying is that tuners are lazy and didn't want to build a proper tune for cams.
Now, years later, people are making pleeeenty of horses from cams on the S54

Anyone that looks at the power curve of the S65 will know there are plenty of HP waiting for you.

There is almost zero information regarding the install, but I'm considering doing a cam DIY install over winter

I think it took about 6-7 years after the end of production to get significant gains from cams on the S54. Even now there still is a bit of mystery around it.

I'm sure you can get a 10%-ish WHP increase like the E46...its just gonna take time and patience. Then someone with funds to waste.

The better gear multiplication and better midrange and top end the cams give you would be a winning combo in my book. Hmm sounds like a plan..

Haha oh boy you're giving me bad (but excellent) ideas 😅😅😅

A stage 1 supercharger kit would offer about three times the power gains for less than 50% more money.
Fun for the street but on track you wont last very long lol plus the SC puts more stress on the stock drivetrain than building / beefing drivetrain components. To each is own it really depends on how the car is being used and what the ultimate goal is.
