uh DCT lag?

I"m driving in MDM and in manual mode and when I'm I"m in second with my heavy foot, the car is lurching forward like I'm a worried father teaching his daughter how to drive. What is this? Am I doing something wrong? Is this what other BMW drivers were experiencing?

If it's cold, then that is normal. Which mode is the throttle in, sport? Sometimes, it's an foot problem, the acceleration throws your foot off the pedal...

I think I know what you're talking about. I discovered it the first week I owned an e92 when driving in flip flops. If the acceleration throws your foot off or your foot sticks at all when accelerating hard at low speeds, the car will lurch. I believe it's because the engine decelerates very quickly when power is interrupted and then gets the signal very quickly for a lot of power. It moves suddenly, interrupts power again, and you're in that cycle of lurching.

I have experienced this both in 1st, and 2nd gear when try to keep RPM at 5000. Maybe its just normal.

What year do you have? 2008 and early 09's had lag until the dealer fixed with a DCT flash. My late 09 has no lag

When its cold, the car may lurch if you are not smooth with the gas.

Also, I've found that when decelerating in S4/5 that once the car starts to down shift itself, it usually will not respond to a manual downshift and takes a second if you decide to mash the throttle and upshift.
