Thumbs up Thank You ESS Tune.

Just wanted to say after driving with the ESS Tune for a prolonged period of time, I couldn't be happier. It just pulls so much better after 5k revs and all the way to redline. Seems like the tune simply sharpens the response of the throttle and increases the urgency.

Not that this is new news to anyone, but I just had to share my experience after thoroughly testing and driving with the tune.

Thanks to Roman and Asbjorn for the great customer service!

Good to hear, any experiences on the track with/without the tune you can share?

Sure Tom, there's a marked difference in the straights (time reaching top speed in 3rd or 4th) and power coming out of a turn. The power is simply better distributed throughout the rev range it seems.

When compared to stock, the car pulls stronger up to redline then before ,especially in 4th, where it would get anemic before hitting redline. I can hit 140s in a snap now.

I honestly don't know how much time it shaved off factually, because so many factors contribute to improving your time, but I was coincidently 1-2 seconds faster that day. It could be the tune or just me having a "good day".

Net, love the tune and worth the investment IMO. A must have, especially if you're keeping the car NA and doing only engine / exhaust bolt ons. It just brings everything together nicely.

Love mine as well, especially how its most noticeable at 4-5k+ rpm..perfectly accents what I loved about this engine to begin with. I had little interest in having more hp/torque at the low end esp in a MT, where the last thing I needed was more wheel torque/spin. Customer service is also beyond reproach.

All you need is to remove the meow meows now, then you will be the next big thing...

Thanks for sharing! Good to hear that the gains you feel above 5000RPM are exactly depicted on many of the dynos floating around too!

Enjoy power and improved drivability!

Be weary of some of the posters in this thread....they have a tendency to tempt many of us to crave boost, LOL....

I'm also very happy with my ESS tune, but perhaps the best part of it is the 'valet mode'.

Only ESS touches my ECU... that much is clear.

+1000........ One of the few tuners that seem to do actual R&D and not just experimentation. Notice how they don't come out with a new better tune claiming so much more power every few days, there is a reason for that!!!

I was thinking about contacting ESS about tuning my car, since I noticed they were in AZ like myself. Do they do just the engine performance tune or can they also code things like Euro MDM and all the other little things like seatbelt chimes and fuel reminder 1/4 tank to 1/8, or do I need to have one of the gentlemen of BPM Sport do that part?
